Law enforcement seeking wanted man in Atascosa Co., sheriff says

State and local authorities were looking for Adolfo Garcia near the Wilson County line Thursday, but officials say he may have left the area.

SAN ANTONIO — Authorities in Atascosa County searched for hours for a convicted man after he violated parole and fled from police, but officials say he may have "caught a ride out of the area."

Sheriff David Soward identified the man as Adolfo Garcia in a Facebook post, saying he was convicted of robbery. Deputies, along with Texas Troopers and a Ranger, spent much of Thursday searching for Garcia near the Wilson County line, resulting in a heavy law enforcement presence.  They also utilized a tracking K-9 and a DPS helicopter in the search.

So far, it's been to no avail, but Soward said Thursday night that deputies "will continue to be in the area actively searching."
