Leon Valley police begins 3,500 warrant roundup on Tuesday

LEON VALLEY - The City of Leon Valley will be actively rounding up people who have Municipal Court warrants on Tuesday.

LEON VALLEY - The City of Leon Valley will be actively rounding up people who have Municipal Court warrants on Tuesday.

The Leon Valley Police Department released a statement saying the warrant roundup will be from 6 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Throughout the day, LVPD will be negotiating with people wanted in an attempt to resolve 3,500 warrants with a combined total of more than $1.2 million. Police said they will be actively checking homes and businesses and people will be arrested for their outstanding warrants.

Police said if people want to avoid being picked up home or work, they simply have to come in to work out a plan to resolve their outstanding tickets.
