SAN ANTONIO — In a post on X (formally known as Twitter), the country singer asked fans to weigh in on their favorite Tex-Mex spots as he arrives in the Alamo City for his sold out concerts on Friday and Saturday.
Country music singer Luke Combs is expected to sell out both shows at the Alamodome as he brings his Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour to San Antonio.
Combs took to social media to ask fans for Tex-Mex food recommendations for him to try upon his arrival.
San Antonians took to the comments to weigh in...
Some of the recommendations include Eddie’s Taco House, Nicha’s Comida Mexicana, Don Pedro’s Mexican Restaurant, Mi Tierra Cafe y Panaderia, Mama Margies, La Fogata, Soluna and Paloma Blanca Mexican Cuisine.
Some replies stirred up debate amongst San Antonians about where the best Tex-Mex spots can be found and others from outside the city even chimed in. Some fans from the Rio Grande Valley and Austin claim the best Tex-Mex food can only be found there.
What do you think? What’s your go-to Tex-Mex spot?
By the way, if you’re one of the lucky fans headed to the Alamodome to see Luke Combs on Friday or Saturday, the city is encouraging everyone to plan ahead for likely disruptions to parking and traffic, as both shows are expected to draw sellout crowds of more than 40,000.
City of San Antonio officials advise concert-goers to arrive early and take advantage of VIA Metropolitan Transit’s Park & Ride options. More information about the service can be found here.
