'I hope they catch him' | Deputies looking for man accused of livestreaming himself shooting at a dog

Tips from the livestreamed video helped identify the suspect as 21-year-old David Guerra-Macias.

SAN ANTONIO — Deputies are searching for a man who fired off multiple shots in a southeast Bexar County neighborhood last month and could be connected to another case involving a dog.

Crime Stoppers said 21-year-old David Guerra-Macias reportedly livestreamed himself shooting at a dog. Tips from the video helped identify Guerra-Macias.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office already had obtained a warrant for Guerra-Macias relating to an incident back on October 22. He is wanted for deadly conduct with a firearm, which is a felony.

Investigators said the suspect was seen wandering around Green Lake Drive and Freshwater Way around 8 p.m. Several homeowners turned over surveillance video of Guerra-Macias to deputies.

At one point, in a video, you can see him firing off a couple of shots. Deputies said he accidently shot himself in the process.

Selena Rodriguez was not home at the time but got an alert about movement outside her home by her surveillance video system. She said it showed him walking around with a gun and yelling.

“A lot went through my mind when I saw that," Rodriguez said. “It’s a shame like something like this would happen.”

Stefan Ferrell lives across the street from Rodriguez. His camera captured the suspect yelling at Rodriguez's dog.

"He was definitely acting wild," Ferrell said. "He was just screaming and yelling and I don't know, we don't know who he was fighting with or dealing with."

Ferrell said he has four children and can't help but wonder what would have happened if he encountered Guerra-Macias that night.

“I hope they catch him honestly before somebody really gets hurt," Ferrell said.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information which leads to felony arrests in this crime. To be eligible for a reward, tips must be submitted directly to Crime Stoppers. Call 224-STOP with information.

This is a developing story and further details will be added as they are received.
