SAPD: Driver arrested for intoxication assault, another arrested for DWI after car crash on northeast side

According to police a red sedan was traveling the wrong way on the fly-over ramp on NW Loop 410 towards IH 10 West around 2:30 a.m.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police arrested two people after a car crash early Friday morning on the city's northeast side. 

According to police a red sedan was traveling the wrong way on the fly-over ramp on NW Loop 410 towards IH 10 West around 2:30 a.m.  

Police said the red sedan struck a black truck that was traveling on the fly-over ramp, which caused the sedan to roll back and hit a white box truck. 

A passenger in the sedan sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, authorities said. 

Police said the driver of the sedan was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for Intoxication Assault. The driver of the black truck was arrested for driving while intoxicated. 

This is an on going police investigation.
