Man dead after losing control of car, crashing into utility pole

It happened near an east-side Dollar Tree late Wednesday evening.

SAN ANTONIO — A man is dead after crashing his car into a utility pole, then a second pole in a Dollar Tree parking lot. 

Bexar County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 4400 block of N Foster Rd near Binz Engleman Rd around 9:15 p.m. for reports of a crash.

 Deputies say that the victim, a man in his 30s, was speeding when he lost control of his car and went sideways through a utility pole, then crashed into another pole in the Dollar Tree parking lot. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

No other information was provided. No other injuries were reported.
