SAN ANTONIO — Police found a man dead Thursday morning, barely 12 hours after they say he was involved in a disturbance.
At about 7 p.m. Wednesday night, police were called to the area of Dreamwood Drive and Fountainwood Street on the northeast side for a disturbance. A man in his early 30s was reportedly "rolling on the ground drunk."
Police later described it as a "pepper-spraying incident." There might have been more disturbances later in the night.
Then, at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning, almost 12 hours after the first call, police again responded to the same area for reports of an injured or sick person. When they arrived, they found that same man dead with what EMS says are tire marks on his torso. They say he "might have been run over."
Police are calling it a "suspicious death." They aren't sure if it was accidental or intentional, nor if it was connected to the incident the night before.
They also found a dead puppy next to the body. Police say the puppy was pepper-sprayed, which is something the man was reportedly doing the night before. They're not sure if the pepper-spraying caused the puppy's death.
Three people, including the owner of the home the victim lives in, are currently being interviewed by police.
