SAN ANTONIO — Comal County Sheriff's Office are investigating after a Canyon Lake man died who was found with a gunshot wound early Tuesday, March 12, according to a press release.
The incident occurred on the 400 block of Deer Valley Street in Canyon Lake around 1 a.m. on Tuesday.
Officials say a call came in with a woman describing she was in a physical altercation with her boyfriend. The release says when deputies arrived on the scene they located a man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound.
The man was pronounced dead after life-saving measures were attempted. The man has been identified as 62-year-old, Edward Canales of Canyon Lake, according to the press release.
At this time no arrest have been made and the female suspect was brought in for questioning, officials say.
The Comal County Sheriff's Office and Texas Rangers will continue to investigate.
