SAN ANTONIO — A man is in the hospital after he was shot multiple times on the northwest side early Monday morning.
It happened just after midnight behind a shopping center at the 5400 block of Evers Road near Loop 410. Police say the victim was in a tent with another person when he was approached by the shooter.
At last check, the victim in his 30s remains in critical condition at University Hospital.
Police say the woman who was with him was not hurt. The couple was approached by the suspect just after midnight along Evers and Joiner Drive.
At some point, that suspect confronted them, shot the victim twice in the stomach and took off. Investigators are still looking into what led to the man being shot.
For now, police are looking for the suspected shooter. A description of what he looked like was not available.
This is a developing story.
