Man injured after getting hit by train on the west side

The accident happened around 12:05 p.m. in the 1300 block of West Martin.

SAN ANTONIO — One person was injured after getting hit by a train on the west side of San Antonio Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened around 12:05 p.m. in the 1300 block of West Martin.

Police say the man was trying to run across the tracks before the train came and he was clipped. He has lacerations to his head and possibly a broken leg.

Police say he was transported to a local hospital after initially refusing treatment. No one else was injured in the accident.
