Man killed after crashing into back of highway service truck, police say

The man was driving a Honda Accord on Highway 90 when he crashed into the back of a highway service truck that was slowly moving in the number four lane.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was killed when he crashed into the back of a slow-moving service truck on US Highway 90 early Thursday morning, according to police.

San Antonio Police responded to the 4100 block of US Highway 90 at the SW 36th Street overpass around 2:19 a.m. for reports of an accident involving a "Scorpion" truck.

When police arrived at the scene on the west side, they found the 43-year-old victim inside his Honda Accord. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say that he was driving westbound on US Highway 90 when he crashed into the back of the highway service truck that was in the number four lane, which is the lane all the way on the right side. 

This case remains under investigation. At this time, no charges are pending.

No other information was provided.
