Man says he was flagged down by two suspects who then shot him in leg, police say

He was able to drive himself to a nearby convenience store to call for help.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot in the leg after being flagged down by two suspects on the west side of town early Monday morning, according to police.

San Antonio Police officers responded to the 7-11 located in the 1600 block of N Zarzamora Street near Culebra Road around 1:12 a.m. for reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his 20s who had been shot in the leg. The victim told officers that he was driving a few blocks away near the intersection of N Zarzamora Street and Menchaca Street when he was flagged down by two suspects who fired a weapon, striking him in the leg.

He then drove himself to the 7-11 on N Zarzamora Street where he called emergency services.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition. He was unable to provide any additional information on the shooting.

The incident remains under investigation.
