Man shot following fight on southeast side, police say

According to police, the victim and his brother got into a fight with a woman. The man she was with pulled out a weapon and started shooting.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are searching for a suspect who shot a man after getting into a fight with a woman on the southeast side of San Antonio.

San Antonio Police responded to the 4000 block of East Southcross around 8:30 p.m. Saturday night for reports of a shooting in progress.

When officers arrived, they found the 25-year-old victim and his brother. The pair told police that they had gotten into a fight with a woman, and her companion pulled out a weapon and started firing, hitting the victim twice.

The victim and his brother ran off after the shooting and called police. 

Police found the victim next to a swimming pool behind a closed and locked fence. The victim was taken to a local hospital.

Police say that two vehicles were also struck by the gunfire. 

Police are still searching for the suspect.

This investigation remains ongoing.
