SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot and killed at his home just northwest of downtown early Monday morning, police said.
The shooting was reported in the 1600 block of French Place, near the intersection of North Navidad Street around 5 a.m.
Officers said a man in his 60s drove his wife to work at a restaurant and when he returned home, he was met by a black sedan or SUV at the house. Police say someone inside the car fired four shots. He reportedly went inside the home to warn his family while the vehicle drove away. Four others were inside the home, including three kids and a 46-year-old man.
The vehicle came back and someone fired some more shots. One of the rounds hit the older man and he was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was hurt.
Police say there "several other shootings" south of this location and they are working to determine if they are related.
This is a developing story.
