SAN ANTONIO — Man shot in the leg in what police say was a drive-by shooting on the east side of town overnight.
San Antonio Police responded to the 1500 block of Avant Avenue near Elgin Avenue around 1:20 a.m. for reports of a shooting in progress.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim, a man in his 20s, with a gunshot wound to his leg. He told police he had been walking down the street when an unknown suspect in an unidentified vehicle pulled up and fired off multiple rounds in his direction.
The victim was hit once in the leg and taken to BAMC in stable condition.
No information was provided about the suspect or the vehicle they were driving in.
No other injuries were reported.
