SAN ANTONIO — A man is shot after attempting to break up a fight on the northwest side, authorities said.
San Antonio police and fire responded to a shooting in progress on Guilbeau Road near Bandera Road around 2:15 a.m. Saturday.
Police said a man in his 30's was trying to break up an altercation between another man and woman. At some point the man involved in the argument pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the torso.
The man and the woman then took off in a white SUV, police said.
Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
No other injuries were reported.
This is an on going police investigation.
