SAN ANTONIO — Police are investigating who brutally stabbed a man at a northwest side apartment complex early Sunday morning.
San Antonio Police responded to the 100 block of De Chantle Road near I-10 and Fredericksburg Road around 2:30 a.m. for reports of a stabbing.
According to police, a couple arrived at the apartments and the man went upstairs to one of the apartments. Just a few seconds later, he started running down the stairs yelling for someone to help him.
Officers say the 28-year-old victim had been stabbed in the neck and back and was bleeding heavily. He was rushed to the hospital in criticial condition.
The apartment the victim was visiting is locked and no one is answering the door. Police are waiting for a warrant to go check for the crime scene.
No other injuries were reported.
