SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police Chief William McManus was threatened on Wednesday, authorities say.
61-year-old Christobal Ramirez threatened to blow off the chief of police's head after leaving a voicemail on a police officers phone, investigators say.
According to an arrest warrant Ramirez calls an SAPD officer daily on the policeman's city cell phone.
Investigators say Ramirez left a concerning voicemail with complaints about Chief McManus.
The arrest warrant stated Ramirez told police they were wasting taxpayer dollars and also stated " I know where McManus feeds them cats, I think I'll blow his head off today, bye."
The officer who received the voicemail told investigators that Ramirez has made generalized statements about the chief and the cats before but nothing like this.
Police believe the statement Ramirez made was so criminally specific that Ramirez now faces charges of terroristic threat of a peace officer.
Ramirez is now in jail and his bond is set at $150,000.
