Man uncooperative after being grazed by bullet, police say

Officers found bullet casings in a nearby apartment complex and believe that is where the shooting happened.

SAN ANTONIO — A man who was grazed by a bullet early Wednesday morning is not cooperating with police, SAPD says.

San Antonio Police responded around 1:30 a.m. to reports of a shooting in progress at the intersection of S General McMullen at Weir Avenue, not far from Highway 90.

When officers arrived at the location, they found a man in his 30s who had been grazed by a bullet.

Police found bullet casings in a nearby apartment complex parking lot and think that is where the shooting originally happened. Officials say the victim ran to the intersection after being grazed.

He told officers he did not know the shooter, who fired off the shot from a moving vehicle. That vehicle was not identified.

The victim was taken to University Hospital in stable condition.

No other details were given.

This is a developing story.
