HOUSTON -- Investigators have arrested a man they believe responsible for the murder of 39-year-old Ahn Cisneros, whose body was found stuffed in the trunk of a car on July 1.
40-year-old Jose Gonzalez was arrested Tuesday evening in Houston by members of the United States Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.
Members of the LSFTF, along with SAPD, determined that Gonzalez had previously fled from San Antonio to Houston for a previous offense, and they were able to locate the apartment they believed he was in.
Investigators found Gonzalez hiding under a bed in an upstairs bedroom of the apartment, and then took him into custody.
Gonzalez was allegedly involved in shooting Cisneros following a physical altercation in downtown San Antonio on June 30.
Witnesses told police that they saw Gonzalez, along with his girlfriend 31 year old Trudy Ramos, stuffing Cisneros' body into the trunk of a vehicle.
Police said that Gonzalez then drove the vehicle to another location and left the victim to die.
Police found the car and Cisneros the following morning and issued warrants for Gonzalez and Ramos later that day. Ramos was taken into custody that day, but Gonzalez remained at large until his arrest this evening.
Gonzalez has been charged with first degree murder. He is being held in the Harris County Jail awaiting extradition to Bexar County.
