Police searching for missing teenager last seen on the south side Tuesday

SAN ANTONIO — Police are asking for help finding a missing teenager who may have traveled to Houston.

Jacob Alvarado is 14 years old but turns 15 Tuesday. He was last seen Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the 8000 block of Garnet Avenue, which is near Pleasanton Road and Formosa Boulevard on the south side.

He is described as having brown hair and brown eyes and a light complexion. He is 5'6" in height and weighs 135 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gold earring on his left ear, a white shirt, black pants and a black hoodie.

His family says they received a tip that he was spotted at the Greyhound bus station, possibly heading to Houston, but they have not confirmed that with security footage.

Police are also reminding the public that anyone harboring someone younger than 18 years old who is absent from their home without their parent or guardian's consent could be charged wth a crime. This offense is a Class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $4,000 and/or confinement in jail for up to a year.
