Residents escape mobile home fire on southeast side, officials say

Authorities said the people living in the home were able to escape.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio fire crews battled a mobile home fire on the southeast side early Saturday morning, officials said. 

Fire crews arrived to a structure fire on the 13100 block of Somerset Road around 3 a.m. 

When firefighters arrived they found a home engulfed in flames, spreading quickly. Crews were able to knock down the flames and prevent the home from being completely destroyed, officials said. 

Authorities said the people living in the home were able to escape. No injuries were reported. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
