Motorcyclist dies after weaving in and out of traffic, struck by vehicle on NW Loop 410, police say

San Antonio Police responded to a accident near NW Loop 410 and Vance Jackson Road around 2:30 p.m.

SAN ANTONIO — A motorcyclist died after a multi-vehicle crash northwest of downtown Monday afternoon, authorities say. 

San Antonio Police responded to a accident near NW Loop 410 and Vance Jackson Road around 2:30 p.m. 

Police say a motorcyclist in his early 20s was cutting across multiple lanes of traffic, when he lost control, and fell off of his motorcycle. He fell directly into the path of another vehicle and was drug underneath, sustaining life-threatening injuries.

According to a sergeant on scene the secondary vehicle could not avoid hitting the motorcyclist. 

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on scene. He has not yet been identified.

Police did not say if anyone else was injured. 

All west bound lanes of Loop 410 and Jackson Keller are closed as police investigate the crash. Authorities say to avoid this area if possible. 

No other information was provided.
