Nation's top canines coming to San Antonio for dog show competition

SAN ANTONIO — One of the nation's most popular dog shows is coming to the Alamo City next weekend. 

The River City Cluster of Dog Shows is hosting multiple canine competitions at the Exposition Hall at the Freeman Coliseum from July 12 through the 14. 

The show is presented by the Bexar County Kennel Club which will include a vendor area with unique items for all dog lovers. 

Doors open at 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday and at 8 a.m. Sunday for early conformation judging and vendors. 

Admission to the dog show is free for children and adults. Children 10-years-old and under must be accompanied by an adult.

The RCCDS brings together top dogs, breeders and handlers in the country and features more than 1,000 dogs - representing more that 200 American Kennel Club (AKC) recognized breeds. 

The Exposition Hall accommodates regular and RV parking with access to the venue for a $15 fee. Cash will not be accepted.
