SAN ANTONIO — A woman's new boyfriend was stabbed by her ex-boyfriend following some sort of altercation near a movie theater in southeast San Antonio, police say. The ex-boyfriend then kidnapped the former girlfriend.
San Antonio Police responded to the 2600 block of SE Military Drive around 2:15 a.m. Sunday for reports of a stabbing.
Police say the couple, he is 28 and she is 25, were meeting in the parking lot near the movie theater, when the woman's 23-year-old ex-boyfriend showed up and the two men got into some type of altercation.
The ex-boyfriend ended up stabbing the new boyfriend in the leg. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Police say the suspect fled the scene after the stabbing, taking his ex-girlfriend with him.
Police found a gun in the parking lot but it's unclear at this time who it belongs to.
No other injuries were reported.
Police say a few hours later, the suspect turned himself in without incident.
