UVALDE, Texas — A new interactive play space was unveiled at Morales Junior High School in Uvalde on Saturday.
United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County teamed up with KABOOM! and Uvalde CISD to build an interactive play space at Morales Junior High - the only middle school in Uvalde.
This project was one of the proposals selected to use funds from the United with Uvalde fund, which was launched just a day after the tragedy at Robb Elementary in May 2022.
More than 150 volunteers helped construct the play space for the children at the middle school.
United Way of San Antonio has invested the entire $1.8 million fund into mental and behavioral health services in the Uvalde community.
