Off-duty SAPD officer arrested for terroristic threat of family

SAN ANTONIO — An off-duty San Antonio Police officer was arrested on Sunday on charges of terroristic threat of family, police say.

Andrew Gonzalez has been with SAPD for eight years. The victim filed a police report with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, July 14, and Gonzalez was arrested the same day.

The officer was assigned to patrol but now has been placed on administrative duty.

The San Antonio Police Department are conducting an administrative investigation into this incident.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office will be handling the criminal investigation.
