SAN ANTONIO — Officials say that nobody was home in an apartment that caught fire late Saturday night and they were able to extinguish it quickly.
San Antonio Firefighters responded to the Park Vista Apartments in the 5400 block of West Military Drive around 9:38 p.m. for reports of a fire.
The battalion chief says that crews arrived to find a fire showing in a second floor apartment. The residents in the surrounding apartments were evacuated and firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly.
Officials say the residents of the unit that was on fire were not home at the time. SAFD is working with apartment management to get in contact with the people that live in the apartment where the fire began.
Three apartments were affected by the fire. All of the apartments in the building were checked by firefighters and were cleared for the residents to return.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
