SAN ANTONIO — A building that used to be the home of a local news station caught fire Saturday morning.

The fire was seen coming from the roof of the building located downtown near St. Mary's Street and Navarro Street around 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

In a video firefighters could be seen breaking windows of the building as well as dozens of fire units on the scene.

The building is two stories and has been abandoned for years. Smoke was seen coming from the roof, according to fire officials.

SAFD says they did find evidence of somebody being inside the building.

The fire was labeled an extremely dangerous structure since the building was previously burned back in 2013, officials say.

"It's a pretty complex building so we ended up fighting the fire on the second floor," SAPD said.

The fire was quickly put out.

The building used to be the home of News4 San Antonio which was originally known as News4 WOAI back when it first burned in 2013.
