The Florida Highway Patrol identified the victim as Amy Durden.
A woman who police estimate was 35 or 36 years old was killed when crossing Atlantic Boulevard in Jacksonville Friday night, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
At 9:30 p.m., the woman walked into the road and was struck by a small SUV. Police say she was not at a marked intersection or a crosswalk.
The 7000 block of Atlantic Boulevard was closed for hours following the crash.
