SAN ANTONIO — A woman attempting to cross the street outside of a crosswalk was hit by a driver who did not see her, police say.
It happened around 8 p.m. in the 7800 block of Fredericksburg Road near Medical Drive.
The victim, a 39-year-old woman, was crossing the road when she was struck by a driver in a 2016 silver Mercedes C330.
Police say the victim was not in a crosswalk or designated area for pedestrians to cross the street.
The driver of the Mercedes stayed at the location, rendered aid and cooperated with police. The driver was evaluated at the scene and was not intoxicated.
The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. At last check, she was in stable condition.
