SAN ANTONIO -- The goal of a 60-day police operation, spanning multiple agencies, was to reduce violent gang crime in the San Antonio area. The operation resulted in the arrest of 258 people, including 14 violent fugitives.
The San Antonio Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force also seized 45 firearms, a stockpile of drugs worth an estimated $254,000 and more than $82,000 in cash.
Authorities said Jorge Rivera, 37, and Jennifer Flores, 35, were arrested at their house, in connection with the investigation. Police said they found 6 high-powered rifles, 1 semi-automatic pistol and more than 500 grams of cocaine inside the home.
SAPD said Rivera was identified as the northwest chapter president of the Bandido Motorcycle Club in San Antonio. Flores was an associate.
Jesse Gutierrez, 24, was arrested on felony warrants -- accused of possession with intent to distribute 250 grams of methamphetamine and felon in possession of a firearm.
Authorities said Gutierrez is identified as a member of the Tango-Orejon gang and an associate of the Bandido Motorcycle Club in San Antonio.
Ismael Caracheo, 25, was also arrested on a felony warrant -- for an allegation involving possession of heroin with the intent to distribute.
Alfred Finamore, 29, and Christopher Rodarte, 31, were arrested and accused of possession with the intent to deliver four to 200 grams of meth. Authorities seized 110 grams of heroin and $645 in cash between the two. Finamore and Rodarte are also identified as members of the Tango-Orejon gang, authorities said.
James Dean Gonzales, 55, was arrested and charged with conspiracy with the intent to distribute methamphetamine. Gonzales was later identified as one of the main suppliers of illegal drugs to the Bandido Motorcycle Club chapters in San Antonio.
Authorities said the motorcycle gang is involved in local drug trafficking, assaults, robbery and murder. Police believe the Bandidos have been disrupted and dismantled as a result of the operation.
