Police investigating after man found shot in ankle

He told officers that the shooting happened at a gas station located nearby where he was found.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are investigating after a man was found with a gunshot wound to his ankle on the northwest side of San Antonio early Monday morning.

San Antonio Police responded to the 6600 block of Desilu Drive near Wurzbach Road around 12:53 a.m. for reports of a shooting.

Arriving officers found the victim, a man in his 20s, with a gunshot wound to his ankle. He told police that he was actually shot at a gas station nearby.

No word on what led up to the shooting or who the suspects might be.
