Police investigating after man found shot north of downtown, second man shows up at hospital with gunshot wound

Police don't have any information on any suspects and no witnesses stuck around to speak with officers.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot early Sunday morning and now police are trying to figure out if the crime is connected to another shooting after a second victim showed up to a nearby hospital around the same time. A third victim was also found nearby.

San Antonio Police responded to the 1100 block of Santa Anna Street near Blanco Road and Interstate 10 around 2:30 a.m. after multiple calls about a shooting in progress.

When officers arrived, they found the first victim on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was taken to University Hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

As investigators were combing the scene searching for clues, the found another person lying in a ditch who they say was injured, but didn't say if that person had been shot.

At the same time, police say a second shooting victim showed up to Dallas Street Baptist Hospital, which is about five miles away from where officers found the first victim.

Right now, police can't confirm yet if all three victims are somehow connected.

Police have no information on any suspects, and no witnesses stayed around to talk to police.

This is a developing story.
