Police investigating after man says his wife stabbed him

The victim was taken to University Hospital and his wife was taken in by police for questioning.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are investigating after a man says his wife stabbed him late Monday night just west of downtown.

San Antonio Police responded to the 600 block of South San Manuel Avenue, near South General McMullen, around 11:38 p.m. for reports of a stabbing. The victim, a man in his 40s, told officers he was actually stabbed in the 100 block of Southolme Avenue, but he left that location to call for help

The victim was taken to University Hospital in stable condition. Police have detained his wife, a woman in her 50s, for questioning.

No other details were provided.

This is an ongoing investigation.
