SAN ANTONIO — A man was set on fire by a woman just north of downtown, according to police.
San Antonio Police responded to Howard Street at West Maple Street around 9 a.m. Tuesday for reports of a man on fire.
According to an officer at the scene, a woman got a cupful of gasoline from the nearby convenience store, then threw it onto the man and ignited it.
The gasoline was poured onto the lower portion of the victim's legs, according to police.
However, the man's injuries were not life-threatening and he was in stable condition when taken to the hospital to be checked out.
Police are still searching for the female suspect, who they say is in her early 50s, and wearing a maroon shirt. Officers believe the two are aquainted in some way.
This is a developing story.
