Man charged after woman shot multiple times at northwest-side bar, SAPD says

The woman was hit four times and rushed to the hospital, according to San Antonio Police.

SAN ANTONIO — Police have arrested a suspect after a woman was shot multiple times outside of a northwest side bar on December 10, according to SAPD. 

San Antonio Police say the incident happened around 2 a.m. near the intersection of Wurzbach and Babcock. 

Officers say a fight broke out in the parking lot and the suspect pistol whipped another guy, then shot the victim's daughter when she tried to help. That suspect has now been identified as Jesus Villarreal Mata, according to an arrest affidavit.

The woman was hit four times and rushed to the hospital, according to San Antonio Police.

Villarreal Mata is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police say.
