Police searching for suspect involved in deadly street racing incident

The suspect and the victim were said to be racing on Blanco Road when the victim lost control, struck a curb and crashed into a utility pole.

SAN ANTONIO — Police need your help finding the suspect who was involved in a fatal street racing incident in Castle Hills about 10 days ago.

San Antonio Police say that on February 4 around 2:28 a.m., the victim was driving southbound on the 800 block of Blanco Rd. in a 2013 Lincoln MKT racing alongside a driver in a white four-door sedan. when he crashed.

Police say the victim lost control of his vehicle and struck a curb and crosswalk utility pole, then came to rest in someone's backyard.

Police say the driver of the white sedan, the suspect in this case, returned to the scene without rendering aid or providing information.  

The driver of the car that crashed died from his injuries.

Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information which leads to felony arrests in this crime. 

To be eligible for a reward, tips must be submitted directly to Crime Stoppers.

Calls and tips directly to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and information that leads to an arrest of a felony offender might be eligible for a reward.
