Possible drunk driver causes rollover crash injuring himself and three others, SAPD says

The alleged drunk driver was rescued by firefighters after he was pinned inside his vehicle following the crash.

SAN ANTONIO — A possible drunk driver lands himself and three other people in the hospital after a rollover crash early Wednesday morning.

San Antonio Police responded to the intersection of Rigsby Avenue and South W.W. White Road east of downtown around 12:30 a.m. for reports of a rollover crash.

One of the drivers had to be rescued by fire crews because he was pinned inside his vehicle. Police suspect him of being intoxicated.

Police say the two trucks collided causing one of the pickup trucks to roll over, pinning the suspected intoxicated driver inside.

Three people were inside of the other vehicle and all got out with help from witnesses.

Police say everyone was taken to the hospital and at least two people have serious injuries.

In addition to treatment, investigators will assess the driver for DUI at the hospital.

This is a developing story.
