Around 11:20, a student got a threatening text message from a photo number that was determined to be spam phone number. They went under crisis plan immediately. All district schools were placed on lockdown. It was lifted around 1.
In a Facebook post Wednesday at about noon, Poteet ISD announced that Poteet High School was locked down.
"Attention: Parents and Community: Poteet High School is currently on lock down. Poteet Police Department and Atascosa County Sheriff's office are on site. Student safety is our top priority," the post read.
