Baby and toddler rescued from hot car outside East Texas shopping center, police say

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office said no criminal charges are pending at this time.

An infant and toddler were rescued from a hot car in NW Harris County and taken to the hospital to be checked out, Precinct 4 said.

CYPRESS, Texas — Precinct 4 deputies and Cy-Fair firefighters helped rescue a baby and toddler who were locked in a hot car Monday afternoon, according to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office.

The car was parked on Cypresswood Drive near the Northwest Freeway in Cypress.

Precinct 4 said the call came in around 2:51 p.m. The children were out 20 minutes later.

The baby and the toddler appeared to be fine and were checked by EMS before being taken to a hospital to be checked out, according to Precinct 4.

It is unknown if the parents were located. 

Precinct 4 said no criminal charges are pending at this time.
