SAN ANTONIO — Dozens of arrests were made in San Antonio this week during a joint effort with multiple law enforcement agencies to crack down on prostitution, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The arrests were conducted in San Antonio from March 19-21 when 34 arrests were made to crack down on various forms of prostitution including online solicitation of a minor, according to Texas DPS. Another primary focus of the operation was to rescue potential individuals affected by these activities, officials say.
According to Texas DPS, the arrests represent a big step in their efforts to reduce the demand for illicit activities and ensure the safety of communities.
The arrests were made in a joint effort with the Converse Police Department, Boerne Police Department, Bexar County Sheriff's Office and the San Antonio Police Department.
