SAN ANTONIO — A driver involved in a two-vehicle accident on the west side is on the run, according to police.

At about midnight Thursday, police say a 2012 Grey Hyundai was driving west on the 4500 block of West Commerce Street.

At the same time, a Nissan was driving in the same direction behind the Hyundai. The Nissan then merged into the turning lane, and police say the Hyundai made an illegal U-turn from the number one lane.

This caused the Nissan to hit the Hyundai's driver's side door, causing the window to break.

Police say the driver of the Nissan fled on foot following the accident.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 28-year-old man, suffered a deep laceration to his bicep and was treated on scene.

When the driver of the Nissan is located, they will face one charge of collision involving injury.
