SAN ANTONIO — Bexar County authorities say a 13-year-old boy is missing, having disappeared from the northwest side this week.
Jaylen Yates stands 5-feet-11, weighs about 145 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office (BCSO), he was last seen around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 7800 block of Walzem, just off FM 78. His mother's "last contact" with him sometime Wednesday, BCSO said, but the boy didn't return home in the morning.
Jaylen was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, grey jeans, and purple and black Jordan shoes. Authorities say he may be in Kirby, in the Sunrise neighborhood.
If you have any information as to Jaylen's whereabouts, you're urged to contact BCSO at (210) 335-6000 or missingpersons@bexar.org.
