SAN ANTONIO — A child has died and four other people remain hospitalized with serious injuries, including two young children, after a northeast-side shooting that officials called a "targeted attack" carried out by two suspects still on the run.
The incident took place at about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 6700 block of Windsor Hollow Drive, where officials say two men arrived with AK-47-style guns and shot dozens of times into the home, hitting a father, mother and their three children.
The home was left riddled with bullets after the suspects shot an estimated 30 times. The youngest victim, 4-year-old girl Mary Ann Marble, later died despite the efforts of a nurse's assistant who lives in the neighborhood to revive her.
Salazar said the mother and father are ages 25 and 27, while the other two children are 7 and 8 years old. Salazar categorized several of the victims' injuries Wednesday night as "grave."
On Thursday, Salazar shared new video of the incident, which shows two people shooting into a family townhome. The sheriff said the incident was done by people who "absolutely intended to take lives."
The video shows two men driving to the townhome in what Salazar believes is a dark-colored Infiniti. They're then seen exiting the car and shooting multiple rounds into the family's residence with long rifles.
"I have no doubt they were after the people in that home for whatever reason and again they were there to inflict maximum damage," Salazar said.

He said the Bexar County Sheriff's Office has evidence suggesting the unidentified suspects knew there were children in the residence when they opened fire. They're now investigating potential leads on the gunmen, who could potentially face capital murder charges once taken into custody.
