Actor Jon Bernthal set to appear at Big Texas Comicon 2024

Big Texas Comicon announces Bernthal as the headline guest of this summer's event.

SAN ANTONIO — Beware, San Antonio. The Punisher is coming to San Antonio! Actor Jon Bernthal is set to appear at the 2024 Big Texas Comicon for one day only. 

Bernthal, who has played Shane Walsh in the popular series "The Walking Dead," and has roles in FX's "The Bear," appeared in "The Wolf of Wall Street," "Sicario," and "Baby Driver." He will be at the event on Saturday, Oct. 12 only.

He'll join a star-studded guest lineup that includes the original cast of the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (actors Judith Hoag, Ernie Reyes Jr., Brian Tochi, Kenn Scott, Robbie Rist, and Francois Chau), the cast of "Cobra Kai" (Xolo Maridueña, Peyton List and Jacob Bertrand), iconic wrestler Sting and many others.

In addition, Bernthal will join his fellow Marvel actor Charlie Cox, who portrays "Daredevil" and co-starred with one another in Berthal's "The Punisher" Netflix series at Big Texas Comicon.

The event begins October 11-13 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

Tickets are on sale now. The much-anticipated event also includes a cosplay contest and an artist alley, and more surprise announcements will be revealed as it inches closer.
