According to The Hill, the White House on Wednesday was apparently placed into lockdown for a second straight day.
A Secret Service officer told a reporter an object was thrown over the fence near the North Lawn of the White House.
The Hill also writes that Lafayette Square was closed to the public and was completely empty aside from law enforcement personnel.
D.C. Metropolitan Police and Fire and EMS units were seen entering from Pennsylvania Ave.
On Tuesday, the Secret Service said a man jumped a fence near the White House while fleeing the scene of a nearby robbery.
