Reported 'hoarder house' catches fire second time in same day, firefighters say

Officials say the home, which caught fire earlier Tuesday, had rekindled.

CONVERSE, Texas — A reported "hoarder house" in Converse caught fire a second time just hours after the first fire was reported, firefighters say.

At least six area fire crews arrived just after 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday for a fire on the 800 block of Meadow Branch.

Officials say the home, which caught fire earlier Tuesday, had rekindled for the second time.

No one was inside the home and there were no injuries reported. Officials say the person who lives there had left the house earlier Tuesday after the first fire.

Firefighters say they will now spend most of the morning clearing out the home's rooms to avoid sparking a third fire.

No estimate of the damages was provided.
