SAN ANTONIO — One man was arrested for allegedly stabbing someone on the far west side of San Antonio in a what police say was a road rage incident.
The man has been identified by officials as Samtrell Smith and was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to an arrest affidavit.
San Antonio Police responded to the 13300 block of Culebra Road around 11:40 a.m. Thursday for reports of a cutting in progress.
Police say while stopped during traffic Smith exited his vehicle and started banging on the other person's car window. The victim then exited his vehicle and began having a conversation before Smith used a knife to cut the victim's face from his ear to mouth, affording to the arrest affidavit. Smith then drove off with the weapon.
As Smith fled the scene he damaged another vehicle that was able to record a dash cam video. A license plate was detected in the video and the person associated to the vehicle was identified.
The victim was taken to University Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
