SAFD: Electrical problem may be to blame for fire at south-side home

Firefighters say that everyone made it out of the house safely.

SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters believe an electrical problem may have sparked a fire at a south-side home early Wednesday morning.

It happened around 12:40 a.m. in the 200 block of East Lambert, near South Flores Street.

Officials believe the fire started in the back of the attic in the home, and the cause is under investigation. Crews have shut off the electricity to the home because they think an electrical problem may be to blame.

Everyone inside the home made it out safely. The damages are estimated to be around $30,000.

This is a developing story.
